加州各社區之間,甚至在聖萊安德羅市區內,空氣質量存在明顯差異。

Goal: Develop Community Resilience through programming, physical infrastructure, and complementary investments, including planting of 30% of tree canopy, and 2-3 community Resilience Centers with sustainable funding by 2030.

WHAT WE HEARD FROM RESIDENTS

Overall, participants were supportive of this project, but there is a lack of understanding what a ‘community resilience center’ is and what residents should expect from something like this.

  1. There is a broad appreciation that the garden provides access to green space and the ability to grow food, especially for people who live in apartments.

  2. There is a desire to see a ‘sharing economy’ element where people can rent/trade resources like home air purifiers, tools and other home equipment.

  3. Desire to see strong training and education elements, including resources and classes for children and the elderly.
