GATHERING INPUT FROM THOSE HIT HARDEST BY POOR AIR QUALITY AND CLIMATE CHANGE

San Leandro 2050 Is Listening

Since 2020 we have completed almost 50 events, trainings, listening sessions and focus groups where we  spoke with 700 residents.  We also built a garden with 25 gardeners where we hold garden sessions each week.  Our goal is to connect San Leandro through Information and activities, and gain a better understanding of our residents worries and hopes for the future.  During this work there have been several key themes that emerged as community priorities.

This project was funded with grants from the California Air Resources Board and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, regional and state initiatives that put billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment — particularly in disadvantaged communities.
