We wanted to share the unfiltered feedback from our breakout groups - see how others are feeling about resilience.
Did you have a different understanding of resilience before coming to our event? How do you see your definition of resilience tying into our understanding of resilience?
Defining resilience- initial understandings of resilience, including “ability to bound back”, “effort” and “strength” and how these relate to the event’s definition
Under community building (3-legged stool)- Add more stress coping support as part of community building portion
SL2050 garden- Bethel Community has been a good example of building community, bringing people together
Possibly “holding the line” trying to prevent anything from getting worse
How can city of SL better explain resilience needs (example storm water maintenance fees) ground water, sea-level rise issues
Before- solar panels, disaster planning, food pantry, community building, individual houses and community resources
After- need a “sturdy stool”, neighbors being stronger together, adding the resource stewardship component, sharing resources communally

Importance of space for marginalized communities
